The effective use of oxygen delivery devices will be the topic of a free seminar from 8 to 11 a.m. Sept. 26 at Monongahela Valley Hospital.

“The adequate delivery of oxygen is important at all levels of care,” said Susan Campus, lead care manager at MVH’s Primary Care Resource Center. “People with respiratory problems make up a large portion of the patient population, and they can face many challenges when they leave the hospital.

“In addition, there are so many devices available for the delivery of oxygen that in order to provide the highest level of care, medical personnel need to match the right device with the right patient.”

Speakers will include respiratory therapists Steve Manna of McKnight Medical and Carrie Murt of AdvaCare Home Services. The seminar will offer three continuing education credits for nurses, social workers, case managers nd administrators of nursing and personal care homes.

A continental breakfast will be served, and parking will be free.

Reservations are required by calling 724-258-1932.
