Rice – Pollana
Kristly Pollana and Cody Rice were united in marriage June 1, 2013, at Christian Church of North America, Washington, with Pastor Robert Berk officiating the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Kevin and Christy Pollana of Washington. Her grandparents are Delaine Pollana of Myrtle Beach, S.C., the late Louis Pollana, Becky Engle of Washington and the late Tom Engle.
Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Lori Rice of Scenery Hill. His grandparents are Mary Rice of Washington, the late Robert Rice Sr. and the late Duke and Betty Sanders.
The bride given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Jackie DeMate of North Canton, Ohio. Bridesmaids were Shannon Falleroni, Calina Black, Ashton Loomis, Alayna Steele and Tara Evans, all of Washington. Flower girl was Emily Engle, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Zachary Wessel of Scenery Hill. Ushers were Stephen Shamay of Bentleyville, Joey Shamay of Bentleyville, Chris Bailey Jr. of South Park, Shane Mahoney of South Park and Cory Strennen of Scenery Hill.
Readers were Brian Engle, uncle of the bride, and Forest Waters.
Vocalists was Rachel Engle, aunt of the bride.
A reception was held at the George Washington Hotel.
The bride is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School and is a senior at Waynesburg University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She works at the Mental Health Association in Bentleyville and Red Lobster in Washington.
The groom is a 2008 graduate of Bentworth High School, a 2009 graduate of Bradford School; where he earned an associate’s degree in graphic design; and a 2012 graduate of Penn Commercial. He works for HBC in Meadow Lands.
The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach and make their home in Washington.
