Amwell Township Historical Society will hold its annual card party from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Amity fire hall. Admission is $5. There will be door prizes, light refreshments and a Chinese auction.

Southwestern Local Task Force 1 will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Intermediate Unit 1 central office, 1 Intermediate Unit Drive, Coal Center. Nominations for chairman will be held. For more information, call 800-328-6481, ext. 205.

Community dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington. Dinner includes chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw or fruit, dessert and beverage. A free-will offering will be accepted. Mary and Martha Joy Fellowship of Monongahela will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. May 1 at First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, corner of Sixth, Chess and Main streets. Fellowship and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Paster Henry Frain, senior pastor of the Carpenter’s Cros Church in West Newton. West Finley Cemetery Association will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Windy Gap Presbyterian Church. All lot owners are urged to attend. For questions, call 724-222-7973.

Historical Bus Tour, “Burgettstown, Past and Present,” will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. Tickets are available at Burgettstown Community Library or by calling 724-947-9780.

Lakeview Christian Life Church will hold its annual best ever garage sale from 8:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at One Lakeview Place, off Morganza Road. Hot dogs, snacks and beverages will be available, and there will be a bake sale. For more information, call 724-746-3200.

Family-style baked steak dinner will be held from 4:30 to to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Taylorstown Christian Church, 32 Main St. Cost is $11 for adults and $5 for children 3 to 12 years old. Children 2 and younger eat free. Takeout orders will be available.
