Washington County History & Landmarks Foundation will host a photo exhibit of local historic barns at the 1806 John White House from noon to 9 p.m. Aug. 9-16 during the Washington County Fair. The exhibit will feature barns used in traditional farming operations and those that have been retrofitted for other uses. County barn owners are asked to submit photos with the owner’s name, location and a brief description of the barn’s construction and use to WCH&LF, Box 274, Washington, PA, 15301 or s_mann41@hotmail.com. Washington County residents who live in Florida during the winter are invited to join the Washington County-Florida reunion group. A luncheon will be held Aug. 13. For the time and location of the luncheon or more information, call Jerry Brenner at 724-225-9273. The group meets twice a year, once in Washington and once during the winter in Florida.

Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an Evening of Music beginning at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at Cross Creek County Park, Shelter 1. Musicians are welcome to perform. Bring a chair or blanket. Light refreshments will be served. There is no fee, but registration is required; call 724-228-6867.
