Dunkle – 103 years
Alma Ellen Chase Balser Dunkle of La Grange, Ohio, formerly of Pleasant Grove, celebrated her 103rd birthday with a picnic for 53 family members and friends at her home.
She was born August 8, 1911, in East Finley Township.
In 1926, she married Robert Martin Balser Sr., who is deceased. On March 25, 1967, she married Roy Gaylord Dunkle, who is deceased.
Her children are Fred Edward Balser of Lecanto, Fla., Jane Lorraine Boyd of La Grange, the late Robert Martin Balser Jr. and the late Ann Magnelina Hostutler. Her stepdaughters are Karen Elaine Revis of Buffalo Township and Edie Anne O’Brien of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dunkle enjoys quilting, sewing, baking and reading her Bible. She has made pies since she was 9 years old.
