McMurdo – Burig
Linsley Fae Burig and Matthew Charles McMurdo were united in marriage June 14, 2014, at The Liberty House, Jersey City, N.J., with John Michael Douress, uncle of the groom, officiating the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Douglas and Rebecca Burig and Kenneth and Irene Morris, all of Washington. Her grandparents are Wanda Morris of Washington, the late Wilmer Morris, the late Robert and Irene Patrene, the late Earl and Anna Lou Burig and the late John and Dollie Maxine Ottena.
Parents of the bridegroom are Diane McMurdo of Union, N.J., and John McMurdo of Ocean Beach, N.J. His grandparents are Charles Douress of Brick Township, N.J., and his first wife, the late Gladys Douress, and his second wife, the late Janet Douress, and the late Bill and Elenor McMurdo.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and stepfather.
Maid of honor for her sister was Kelsey Lynn Morris of Washington.
Flower girl was Katherine Pipher, niece of the groom.
Best man was Michael Bennett.
Ring bearer was Owen Pipher, nephew of the groom.
Readers were Jamie Anderson Warzel and Charles Douress, grandfather of the groom.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Trinity High School; a 2002 graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantown, W.Va.; and a 2005 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York, New York, N.Y., with a bachelor of science in advertising and marketing communications.
Mr. McMurdo is a 1990 graduate of Union High School, Union, N.J.; a 1994 graduate of Lehigh University with a bachelor of science in business and economics; and a 1998 graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, New York, N.Y. He is an attorney at law.
A reception was held at The Liberty House.
The couple honeymooned in Belize.
