USA Today’s best-selling author of “Circle of Influence,” will speak from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 17 in the public meeting room. Refreshments will be provided. Dashofy grew up with horses, cattle and chickens, and after high school, spent five years as an EMT.

Video Game Club for sixth- through eighth-graders will meet at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 23.

STAY & PLAY for 1- to 3-year-olds with a parent or adult caregiver will be held from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Jan. 22 and 29 and Feb. 5 and 12. Toddlers and their parents will have a chance to experience one-on-one time at several stations with different toys, including books, puzzles, musical instruments, blocks, trucks, dolls and puppets, dress up and pretend and nutrition. Registration is required and will begin Jan. 6.

Registration will begin Jan. 27 for the spring session of preschool and toddler story times, which will be held as follows:

• Preschool story time for 3- to 5-year-olds, 2 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 17 through April 21.

• Toddler story time for 1 1/2– to 2 year-olds, 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 18 through April 22.

• Toddler story time for 2 1/2– to 3-year-olds, 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Feb. 18 through April 22.

Book of the month is “Winter Poems” by Barbara Rogasky. The drawing is open to those 12 years and younger. The winner will be drawn Jan. 31.
