Peters Township Public Library will hold “Finding Health Care Through the Health Insurance Marketplace” from 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 15.
Courtney Emrick, outreach and enrollment specialist with Cornerstone Care in Washington, will present information to help participants find a quality health insurance plan that meets their needs and budget. Topics will include “What Determines Health Insurance Premiums,” “What Qualifies Individuals and Families for Advanced Premium Tax Cuts” and “Cost-Sharing Reductions.”
Emrick also will explain the differences among the five plans and how a geographic area impacts the plans, plus penalties for noncompliance.
The program is being offered as part of PA Forward, a new initiative of the Pennsylvania Library Association. Registration is required either by emailing programs@ptlibrary.org, visiting the circulation desk or calling 724-941-9430.
