Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will begin accepting 2015 shelter reservations for Mingo Creek, Ten Mile Creek and Cross Creek County parks Jan. 12 at its office, Room 705 in Courthouse Square.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reservations made through Jan. 31 will only be accepted in person or by application through the mail. Beginning Feb. 2, reservations also will be accepted by phone with a credit card.

Reservations are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment in full is due at the time of the reservation.

Permit applications are available at the following locations: Bentleyville Library, Burgettstown Borough Building, Canonsburg Borough Building, Cross Creek Township Building, Agway in Eighty Four, Peters Township Municipal Building, Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Brownsville Municipal Building, California Borough Building, Charleroi Chamber of Commerce, Donora Borough Building, Giant Eagle in Finleyville, Monongahela Borough Building and McDonald Borough Building.

Permit applications also are available online at www.co.washington.pa.us. Locate the menu on the left side of the page, go to departments, scroll to Parks & Recreation and click on 2015 Shelter Permit Application to print an application.
