Zachary Barnes, son of Rich and Rhonda Barnes of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at West Liberty University, where he is majoring in criminal justice. He also is on the football team. Barnes is a 2011 graduate of Washington High School.
Polly Clarchick was named to the dean’s list at Marietta College, where she is majoring in petroleum engineering/leadership studies. Clarchick is a member of the physics club, the American Association of Drilling Engineers, the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the symphonic band. She also is a Pioneer Scholar, freshman representative for Student Senate, treasurer of Marietta Hall and a volunteer at the Ely Chapman Science Institution. Clarchick is a 2013 graduate of Avella Area Junior/Senior High School, and her parents are Lynn Clarchick of Avella and John Clarchick of Carmichaels.
Alyssa Crile was named to the dean’s list for the seventh consecutive semester with a 4.0 grade-point average at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in early childhood/special education. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary Society and DRUS Women’s Honorary Society. Crile is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Scott Crile and Lisa Hegedus.
Kellie Fromholzer was named to the dean’s list for the seventh consecutive semester at the University of Montevallo, Montevallo, Ala., where she is majoring in speech-language pathology. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Pi in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. Fromholzer is a 2010 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, and her parents are Erick and Lynne Fromholzer of Canonsburg.
Mallory Gasbarrini, daughter of Joe and Jody Gasbarrini of Canonsburg, was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where she is majoring in pre-med and psychology. Gasbarrini is a 2010 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Lindsay Knowlson was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a 2013 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Keith and Grace Knowlson of Washington.
Robert Mele, a 2012 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, has been named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where he is an accounting major and member of the W&J football team. His parents are Bob and Lorie Mele of Houston.
Emily Snee, daughter of Emerson Snee III and Marci Snee of Waynesburg, was named to the president’s list and dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average at Coastal Carolina University, where she is majoring in sports and exercise science. She has since transferred to Waynesburg University. Snee is a 2013 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and is employed by Walgreens.
Emily Trapuzzano, daughter of Ben and Shawn Trapuzzano of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where she is majoring in international studies. She is a 2012 graduate of Trinity High School.
Kayleigh Verno was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where she is majoring in psychology. She is a member of the Camerata Singers and the theater group. Verno is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by Strabane Trails Independent Living and as a cantor at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Her parents are Chuck and Judy Verno of Washington.
