Warco – Bishop
St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Cape May Point, N.J., was the site for the September 21, 2013, wedding of Meghan Bishop and Matthew Warco. The couple were married at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Edward Fitzpatrick officiating.
The bride’s parents are William and Mary Ellen Bishop of Blue Bell. Her grandparents are Thomas and Ellen Cassidy and William H. Bishop, all of Blue Bell, and the late Jean Bishop.
The bridegroom’s parents are Michael and Deanna Warco of McMurray. His grandparents are Stanley and Lois Warco and Joan Beddow, all of Washington, and the late Logan Beddow.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Bridesmaids were Maureen Horgan of Philadelphia, cousin of the bride; Theresa Bishop of Philadelphia, sister-in-law of the bride; Megan Moran of Arlington, Va., sister of the groom; and Kelly Doyle of Philadelphia, Rachel Medley of Silver Springs, Md., Erin Horgan of New York City, N.Y., and Katie Brody of Los Angeles, Calif., all cousins of the bride.
Best man was Bill Shepardson of McDonald. Groomsmen were Bill Bishop of Philadelphia, brother of the bride; Ed Moran of Arlington, Va., brother-in-law of the groom; Tom Bishop of Philadelphia, brother of the bride; Matthew Wolak of Aberdeen, Scotland; Dan Potetz of Pittsburgh; and Justin Jackson of Upper St. Clair.
Participating in the presentation of gifts during Mass were Fiver and Nicole Soraruf, cousins of the bride, and Levi Matthews and Alyssa Warco, cousins of the groom.
Readers were Joseph Horgan, cousin of the bride, and Justine Kolano, cousin of the groom.
Janice Schumann was vocalist, and Beth Walls was organist.
A reception was held at Convention Hall, Cape May, N.J.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Gwynedd Mercy Academy, a 2004 graduate of William & Mary College and a 2012 graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine. She is a resident in orthopedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Peters Township High School and a 2007 graduate of William & Mary College. He is a certified public accountant and audit manager with Deloitte and Touche accounting firm.
The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
