SAS Shoes has launched a drive to collect shoes for Soles4Souls, an international antipoverty organization that monetizes used shoes and clothing to create sustainable jobs and fund relief efforts.

Used and new shoes can be dropped off at 2200 Tanger Blvd., Washington, through Feb. 28.

Soles4Souls has distributed more than 25 million shoes in more than 100 countries since it was founded in 2007. Most of the reusable shoes will be distributed to microenterprise programs that create jobs in Haiti and other poor nations. The resulting revenue will help fund the free distribution of new shoes in the United States and overseas.
