Cameron Banasick was named to the president’s list for the fourth consecutive semester with a 4.0 grade-point average at West Virginia University, where he is majoring in civil engineering. Banasick is a member of Engineers Without Borders, WVU Chapter, and Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society. He is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School, and his parents are John and Kerri Banasick of Washington.
Katie Cushma was named a dean’s list scholar at Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences at Gannon University in Erie, where she is studying to be a physician’s assistant. She is a 2011 graduate of Peters Township High School, and her parents are John and Nancy Cushma of McMurray.
Alex Eddy graduated cum laude from West Virginia University with a degree in child development and family studies. He is a member of Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, Phi Upsilon Omicron National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. He is employed as an assistant teacher at the WVU Child Development Center and Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club, where he leads a program that helps youths make smart choices about their futures. Eddy has been accepted into graduate school at WVU, where he plans to pursue a master’s degree in counseling. He is a 2009 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School, and his parents are Michael and Natalie Eddy of Mt. Morris.
Drevin Galentine, son of Den and Joi Galentine of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering and robotics. He is a member of Engineers Without Borders. Galentine is a 2013 graduate of McGuffey High School.
Natalie Nedley was named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in pharmacy. Nedley is a 2013 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Jeff and Laura Nedley of Washington.
Marielle Angelique Sargent, daughter of John and Nancy Sargent of Washington, was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average at Robert Morris University, where she is majoring in communications with a concentration in advertising. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a public relations organization, ad club and the Sports Management Association. She also has an internship with Prudential Realty. Sargent is a 2011 graduate of Washington High School and is employed by PetSmart of Washington.
Kayla Smith was named to the dean’s list for the third consecutive semester at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in speech and language pathology. Smith had a 4.0 grade-point average. She is a 2012 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Matthew and Susan Smith of Washington.
