Karlie Comfort, a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the fourth consecutive semester at Slippery Rock University, where she majors in middle level math education and minors in exceptionalities. This is the third consecutive semester that she has had a grade-point average of 4.0. Comfort is a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society and Pre-Service Teachers of Mathematics affiliate of NCTM. Her parents are Tony and Kim Comfort of Washington. Comfort is employed by American Eagle and is an umpire for TWIST softball.

Emily Drabeck, daughter of Fred and Mona Drabeck of Washington, has been named to the dean’s list at Marietta College, where she majors in organizational communications. She is a McDonough scholar in the McDonough Leadership Program and Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Drabeck is a 2013 graduate of Trinity High School.

James S. Markley of Fredericktown graduated from California University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in science and technology and was a presidential scholar. He has been accepted into California University’s Graduate School of Legal Studies. He graduated from United Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2006, Waynesburg University ASBA in 2001 and attended Washington High School. His wife is Jann C. Markley. He is the son of the late William and Emma Markley.

Erin Ritzer was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Robert Morris University, where she is a freshman majoring in biomedical engineering. She also is a member of the women’s soccer team. Ritzer is a 2013 graduate of Bentworth High School, and her parents are Edward and Linda Ritzer of Scenery Hill.
