Celebration to honor life of Terry Lee

“A Celebration of the Life of Legendary DJ Terry Lee” will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. March 8 at the Boston Spectrum near McKeesport.
Terry Lee Trunzo, a New Eagle native and 1960 graduate of Monongahela High School, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at his home in Bellville, Ohio, after a battle with lung cancer. He was 70.
Lee began his 55-year broadcasting career when he was a student at Monongahela. He had popular radio programs at WESA in Charleroi, WARO in Canonsburg and WMCK and WIXZ in McKeesport, and also hosted television dance shows on WPGH and WPXI in Pittsburgh.
The celebration will feature never-before-seen pictures and videos and music, especially Lee’s signature “Music for Young Lovers” ballads. Joe Parknavy will be the disc jockey.
Admission to the BYOB affair is $15 per person in advance and $20 at the door and includes mixers. Food will not be sold at the event.
