According to the ASPCA, about 2.7 million of the nearly 7.6 million companion animals that enter animal shelters nationwide every year are euthanized.

The event will feature adoptable cats, dogs and rabbits from local pet adoption groups, including Golden Retrievers in Need, Hello Bully, Pet Search, National Brittany Rescue & Adoption Network, Pennsylvania Great Dane Rescue and Hurry Home Hounds.

Additionally, there will be safety demonstrations by Youngwood Fire Department’s search and rescue dogs and a horse from Save a Horse Sanctuary.
