Canton Township plans community picnic

Pure Gold, one of Western Pennsylvania’s top oldies acts, will be featured at Canton Township’s annual Community Day Picnic July 27 at Sunset Beach.
The community day also will include swimming from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., an all-you-can-eat buffet from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., bingo, a Chinese auction, a caricaturist, kettle corn and Happy the Fire Truck rides.
Seating for the concert is limited; lawn chairs and blankets are permitted. Guests also are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the food bank.
Tickets are $10 each for Canton Township residents; $25 for nonresidents. Tickets are available at the Canton Township office.
