Peters Township Public Library, in conjunction with the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh, will host Hong Kong resident and international antitrafficking expert Matt Friedman from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2.

Human trafficking is rapidly emerging as the 21st century’s most pervasive and complex human rights violation. Human trafficking is a $32 billion criminal industry that affects 27 million people worldwide and includes the recruitment, enslavement and sale of children and adults for forced labor practices and sexual purposes.

Friedman’s topic will be “Breaking the Links: A Campaign Against Human Trafficking.”
