Heart Walk planned in October at Consol

The Washington County and Mon Valley Division of the American Heart Association will hold the 2014 Heart Walk Oct. 4 at Consol Energy Park.
As the signature fundraising event for the American Heart Association, the Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a family environment.
This year, more than 1 million walkers are expected to participate in nearly 350 events nationwide, raising money to save lives from heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 4 killers, respectively, in the United States. To combat these statistics, the association has launched My Heart. My Life., a comprehensive health, wellness and fitness platform to empower Americans to get healthier.
