Consulate Health Care of North Strabane, 200 Tandem Village Road, Canonsburg, will hold its 2014 Taste of the Town from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 17.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Jackson Pistner and Luke Blanock, two students in the Canon-McMillan School District who are battling cancer.

Jackson, a first-grader, underwent surgery on Feb. 1 to remove a brain tumor at the base of his brain. A biopsy showed it was a Stage 2 Ependymoma tumor, and he completed 33 rounds of radiation.

Luke, a junior at Canon-McMillan, was diagnosed on Dec. 3 with Ewing’s sarcoma after an MRI revealed a mass on his spine. He had surgery to remove the tumor and has completed 12 of 14 rounds of chemotherapy, as well as 31 radiation treatments.

Entertainment also will be provided. Tickets are $10. Children 5 and younger are free.

To purchase tickets, call Consulate Health Care at 724-746-0600.
