Simmons retiring from Avery U.M.

Pastor Ruth Simmons of Avery United Methodist Church is retiring after 28 years of service.

Simmons has pastored at Avery for the last seven years.

Her last sermon will be held at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service. A celebration will be held immediately after the service in fellowship hall.
