Master Gardeners plan spring affair

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners will hold a “Spring Garden Affair” from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 22 at Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus.

There will be six educational gardening classes from which to choose, and keynote speaker will be Lee Stivers, a horticulture educator with Penn State Extension in Washington County since 2001 and a member of its statewide horticulture team. Stivers specializes in vegetable production, greenhouse ornamentals, wine grapes and farm food safety.

Cost is $18 for those who register by March 17 and $20 at the door. There will be local vendor displays, refreshments, door prizes and a garden bazaar.
