Alayna Astuto was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. Her parents are Rodney and Donna Astuto of McDonald. She is a 2013 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Brittany Brandenburg, daughter of Alan and Carol Brandenburg of Avella, was named to the dean’s list at California University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in environmental studies with a concentration in fisheries and wildlife biology. She is a member of the Wildlife Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success, and vice president of the psychology club and a Cal U. peer mentor. Brandenburg will be honored as a Presidential Scholar at the 2014 honors convocation. She is a 2010 graduate of Avella Junior/Senior High School and is employed by Giant Eagle in Washington.
Jenna F. Dorazio, daughter of Chris Dorazio of Cokeburg, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in psychology. Dorazio was named to the All-PAC team in softball. She is a 2010 graduate of Bentworth High School and is employed by Subway in Waynesburg.
Jessica J. Dorazio, daughter of Chris Dorazio of Cokeburg, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in accounting. She was named to the All-PAC team in volleyball. Dorazio is a 2012 graduate of Bentworth High School and is employed at the George Washington Hotel.
Cassandra May Taylor Hamilton was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. Hamilton also was selected to join the Waynesburg University Honors Academy. She is a 2013 graduate of Avella Junior/Senior High School, and her mother is Juanita Hamilton of Avella.
Dominic Raggi was named to the dean’s list at Allegheny College, where he is majoring in chemistry. Raggi also was named an Alden Scholar for the fifth consecutive semester. He is a member of Beta Chi Chemistry Honorary Society, a chemistry tutor and fitness instructor. Raggi is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School, and his parents are Eugene and Mary Beth Raggi of Washington.
