Chicken and biscuit dinner begins at 4 p.m. today at West Alexander Methodist Church. A love offering will be accepted.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit Tony Arnone, former Houston fire chief and commander of American Legion, will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sundayat Houston American Legion Post 902. Cost is $10 per person and $5 for children 8 and younger.

Pittsburgh Steelers will play Trinity faculty in a basketball game April 5 at Trinity High School. Doors open at 6 p.m., pregame activities begin at 6:30 and the game starts at 8. Tickets are $7. The game is being hosted by the Trinity boys basketball boosters. For more information, email hillerhoops@gmail.com

Vendor show will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. April 5 at Amwell Township VFD social hall, 638 Amity Ridge Road. There will be raffles, snacks and free admission. Benefits the Ladies Auxiliary.

Genealogy Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania will meet at 2 p.m. April 6 at Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. Elissa Scalise Powell, CG, CGL, will present “Problems and Pitfalls in Reasonably Shallow Search.”

AARP Smart Driver refresher course will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7 at Presbyterian SeniorCare, South Main Street, Washington. Participants must have completed the initial eight-hour class. Cost is $20 for non-AARP members and $15 for AARP members. Those who attend must bring a copy of their class completion certificate and AARP card if claiming the discount. Reservations are required; call Karen at 724-250-4993.
