PTMS teacher wins educator award

Josh Elders, an eighth-grade teacher at Peters Township Middle School, was named the Patricia M. Behring Teacher of the Year for Pennsylvania in the Junior Division.

The award is given for outstanding achievement in education. Elders serves as the sponsor of the high school’s National History Day teams.

He is a candidate for the Patricia M. Behring National Teacher of the Year, which will be presented at the National History Day competition June 15-19 at the University of Maryland.
