Junior American Citizen contest winners were sixth-graders at John F. Kennedy Catholic School. National Pike Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, recently held its 2014 student recognition for Washington County students at First Baptist Church in Washington.

The National Pike Chapter has committees in American History, American History Essay, Good Citizenship and Junior American Citizens that annually honor students from Trinity Middle School and John F. Kennedy Catholic School. This year, students from the McGuffey School District were included.

The contest theme was “Honoring Our Heritage.”
