Jennifer Adams, daughter of Bill and Sharon Adams of Washington, graduated from Villanova University School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor. She was a special projects editor for the Moorad Sports Law Journal, a mentor for the Student Bar Association, and she worked for Pennsylvania Innocence Project. She is a 2007 graduate of Washington High School.

Jacob Betzner graduated magna cum laude from Ohio University, where he majored in journalism and economics. He was named to the dean’s list every semester and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Betzner received the 2014 Donald L. Perris Internship/Scholarship Grant and won the 2013 Roy W. Howard National Reporting Competition and the 2013 Guido Stempel Excellence in Journalism Scholarship. He also was a finalist for the 2013 Society of Professional Journalists Regional Mark of Excellence Award. Betzner was treasurer of the Golden Key International Honor Society; treasurer of the Society of Professional Journalists; Web editor for Backdrop Magazine; assistant editor for Essay Magazine; and copy chief of talent for the All-Campus radio network. He has accepted a position with the communications department of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. He is a 2010 graduate of Bishop Canevin High School, and his parents are Eric and April Betzner of Washington.

Sarah Bonnet has earned her doctorate of medicine from West Virginia University School of Medicine. Bonnet was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Certificate, which recognizes female students who demonstrate overall academic excellence. She also was community service chairwoman of her class for three years and served as secretary for the Radiology Interest Group. Bonnet graduated summa cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2010 and was initiated into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She will complete a transitional year medical residency at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Bonnet is a 2006 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, and her parents are Michael and Lisa Bonnet of Eighty Four.

Morgan Dysert, daughter of Russ and Karen Dysert of Bulger, graduated from University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, where she majored in anthropology and minored in Russian language and literature. She was a member of the Future Medical Student Association, was named a 2010 Big Ten Scholar Athlete and was a member of the women’s rowing and rugby teams. In 2013, she traveled to Mysore, India, with the university’s Association of Future Medical Students. Dysert is a 2009 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

Andrew Irwin was named to the dean’s list at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he is majoring in systems engineering. He is in summer training at the Royal Military College of Sandhurst in England. Irwin is a 2012 graduate of Peters Township High School, and his parents are Lew and Marcia Irwin of McMurray.

Eva Irwin graduated from Washington & Jefferson College, where she majored in elementary education and child development with a minor in English. She was named to the dean’s list, was a member of the volleyball team and a tutor for the Alpha Phi Omega service organization. She is a 2010 graduate of Peters Township High School, and her parents are Lew and Marcia Irwin of McMurray.

Alexander Lee graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a bachelor of music in violin performance. While at Eastman, Lee performed with the Boston Early Music Festival Chamber Players, Collegium Musicum, the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia, Musica Nova, OSSIA, RestisNoise and SoundExchange. He also performed in several cantatas, operas and student and faculty recitals. He has performed concertos with the Eastman School Symphony, Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. During the summers, he participated in the Castleman Quartet Program and the Meadowmount School of Music, and he was a fellow with the Music Academy of the West and the National Repertory Orchestra. This summer, Lee is serving as assistant concertmaster for the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colo. He is a substitute for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and a finalist for the New World Symphony. Lee is a 2009 graduate of Trinity High School, and his parents are Kevin and Alice Lee of Washington.

Dr. Stacey Scariot Snyder of Mt. Pleasant received her doctorate in education from the University of Pittsburgh. Snyder is a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and Washington & Jefferson College. She is employed by the Irwin School District, where she specializes in special education. Her parents are Vi Azman of Washington and Richard Scariot of Florida.

Kayleigh Verno was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where she is majoring in psychology. Verno is a member of Delta Omicron International and Professional Music Honors Fraternity and a member of the Camerata Singers. She is employed by Strabane Trails Independent Living in Washington and is a cantor at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Washington. Verno is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Chuck and Judy Verno of Washington.
