Stockdale – Taylor
Halsey Taylor and Brian Stockdale were united in marriage July 26, 2014, at the Wheeling (W.Va.) Artisan Center with Chad Williamson officiating the ceremony at noon.
The bride’s parents are Jonathan and Darlene Taylor of Houston. Her grandparents are the late Harry and Heda Metzler and the late Charles E. and Dora Jean Taylor.
Parents of the bridegroom are Doug and Maryann Stockdale of Prosperity. His grandparents are Midge Stockdale of Propsperity and the late John Stockdale and the late William and Genevieve Kauffeld.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Sarah Stockdale of Morgantown, W.Va., sister-in-law of the groom. Bridesmaids were Shaun Williamson of Washington, sister of the groom; Stephanie Whitehouse of Washington; Juliene Seftick of Glen Burnie, Md.; Jennifer Watson of Canonsburg; Alison Ogurchak of McKees Rocks; Julie Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio, sister-in-law of the bride; and Catie Pleska of Avella, cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Sutton Williamson, niece of the groom.
Best man was Dan Stockdale of Morgantown, brother of the groom. Ushers were Dave Barthelmes of Canonsburg; Chris Foster of McDonald; Jonathan Taylor of Cleveland, brother of the bride; T.J. Dunn of Houston, brother of the bride; Chris Mounts of Waynesboro; Chris Castillo of Chicago, Ill.; and Chuck Wood of Washington.
Ring bearer was Mike Pleska, cousin of the bride.
Reader was Rebecca Farrar, cousin of the groom.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, a 2007 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, and a 2010 graduate of Waynesburg University. She is a teacher at Allison Park Elementary in Chartiers-Houston School District.
Mr. Stockdale is a 2001 graduate of McGuffey High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He is a product specialist for NextGen Healthcare.
A reception was held at Wheeling Artisan Center.
The couple honeymooned in Europe, visiting Paris, France, Venice and Rome, Italy.
