Sports medicine honors students

Washington Health System Sports Medicine recently honored its September athletes and coach of the month. Winners were: • Tina Bellhy, who has served as team captain for three years of the Fort Cherry High School volleyball team. Bellhy, who was named All-Section first team the past two years, averages 12 kills per game and is being scouted to play Division II volleyball. She has a 3.7 grade-point average and is involved in several other extracurricular activities. • Robert West, who is a member of the football team at Trinity High School and was named All-Conference Performer last year. West has a 4.51 grade-point average and, in addition to football, participates in eight other extracurricular activities. • Jackie Artim, who has coached the varsity girls volleyball team at Fort Cherry High School to a winning record this season. The team won the Greene County Invitational tournament this year.
