Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 3905 Park Ave., Prosperity, will show the movie “God’s Not Dead” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in fellowship hall. The movie is free, and refreshments will be served. Washington Drug and Alcohol Commission Inc. is accepting applications for the 2014-15 Limited Term Single Service Prevention Grants, formerly known as minigrants. The board has approved 10 grants for $2,000 each. The grant must focus on one of the three priorities: driving under the influence, prescription drug misuse or marijuana use. Amwell Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Amwell Township Community Building. Brian Cunning will present a program on “George Washington’s Recollection of Braddock’s Expedition.”

WOMEN of Southwestern Pennsylvania will meet Oct. 16 at Valleybrook Country Club, 425 Hidden Valley Road, McMurray. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., and dinner begins at 6:30. Dr. James Longo, an author and professor at Washington & Jefferson College, will talk from 7:30 to 8:30 about ghost stories he began collecting as a child after his first paranormal experience.
