Sumney – Chester

Holly Chester of Eighty Four and David Sumney III of Bentleyville were united in marriage October 4, 2014, at Pigeon Creek Church, Eighty Four, with Peggy Shannon officiating the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Jim and Amy Chester of Eighty Four. Her grandparents are Ed and Nellie Chester of Eighty Four and Hazel Ritter of Eighty Four and the late Bob Ritter.

Parents of the bridegroom are Dave Jr. and Carol Sumney of Bentleyville. His grandparents are Dave Sr. and Polly Sumney of Bentleyville and Geraldine Reihner of Washington and the late Merle Reihner.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.

Matron of honor was Courtney Crowe of Avella, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heidi and Heather Chester, both of Eighty Four, sisters of the bride.

Flower girl was Madison Crowe, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Dave Milligan of New Wilmington. Ushers were TJ Sumney of Bentleyville, brother of the groom, and John Milligan of Pittsburgh.

Ring bearers were Logan Crowe and Wyatt Ward, cousins of the bride.

The bride is a 2011 Salutatorian of Bentworth High School and a 2014 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She works at Chapman Corp.

Mr. Sumney is a 2010 graduate of Bentworth High School and a 2014 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history. He is a manager at Tri-State Electrical Supply.

A reception was held at Washington County Fairgrounds.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
