Wash Arts hosts Holiday Art Market

The Holiday Art Market at Washington Community Arts & Cultural Center, 70 South St., will feature the work of 30 local artists.
The sale will begin Nov. 7. The juried work for sale includes paintings, prints, photography, pottery, ceramic art, jewelry, glass, handmade soaps, fiber art, knitted goods and scarves.
Wash Arts’ share of the proceeds will benefit scholarships for students in need.
The Holiday Art Market opens with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 7 and runs through Dec. 30. The market will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays; and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The market will be open until 7 p.m. Dec. 22 and 23 and until 4 p.m. Dec. 29 and 30. The market will be closed Dec. 24 and 28.
Those who attend Washington’s Christmas Parade Dec. 5 can stop afterward to enjoy hot chocolate, shop and paint their own Christmas ornaments.
