The Mid-Mon Valley Cultural Trust will host an informal discussion from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the SPHS Riverside Place Senior Center, Chamber Plaza, Charleroi, about restoring closed theaters, such as the Coyle in Charleroi, and the social and economic impact it has on the community.

Paul Siemborski, an architect and principal for Westlake Reed Leskosky, will speak. Westlake is an architectural, engineering and theater-planning firm with a national practice.

The firm has been in operation for 109 years and has experience with more than 100 historic theater restoration projects. WRL has more than 10 closed theaters in design. A number of the firm’s recent commissions include the Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks; Embassy Theatre in Lewistown; Struthers Library Theatre in Warren; Capitol Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio; Columbia Theatre in Paducah, Ky.; and Robinson Grand Theatre in Clarksburg, W.Va.

Those who are interested in attending are asked to contact members of the Mid-Mon Valley Cultural Trust, call 724-331-3654, or email at Stay@Nostalgicguesthouse.com. Seating is limited.
