Washington County Council of Democratic Women will hold its picnic meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Stout Pavilion behind the Washington Wild Things baseball field. Bring a covered dish and a $1 bingo prize. Dues of $10 will be collected. Prospective members are welcome to attend as guests.

Lighthouse Community Church, 160 Vista Valley Road, Washington, will host a multifamily yard sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 13.

Spaghetti and meatball dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 13 at Claysville United Methodist Church, 1279 Route 40 West. Dinner will include salad, garlic bread and dessert. Cost is $5 for a small portion and $8 for a large portion. Proceeds will benefit a new floor for the social hall.

South Hills Art League new member screening will be held Sept. 15 at Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills, 1240 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Submit three pieces of original work in the same medium that demonstrate consistency in style and execution. Drop off items from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Pickup is 8 p.m. Registration is required by calling Anne Trimble at 412-512-8499.
