Pansino–Schonwalder-Angel

Dayana Andrea Schonwalder-Angel of Bogota, Colombia, and Stephen Pansino of Canonsburg were united in marriage August 29, 2014, in North Strabane Township Park. The Rev. Joseph Veres, uncle of the groom, officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are Edilma Angel and Raul Castiblanco of Yelm, Wash., and Helmut Schonwalder of Bremen, Germany. Her grandmother is Blanca Moyano of Bogota.

Parents of the bridegroom are Larry and Beth Pansino of Canonsburg. His grandparents are Domenick Pansino of Charleroi and the late Helen Pansino and Milan Veres of Charleroi and the late Dolores Veres.

The bride was given in marriage by parents of the bride and groom.

Matron of honor was Diana Acero-Allard of Salt Lake City. Bridesmaids were Melissa Zelazny of Denver, Colo., and Indra Kalinovich of Winnipeg, Canada.

Best man was Tom Pournaras of Brunswick, Md. Ushers were Christopher Pansino of Canonsburg, brother of the groom; and Andrew Leone of Pittsburgh.

The bride is a graduate of Colegio Rosario de Santo Domingo, Universidad Nacional de Colombia and is a Ph.D. student at the University at Buffalo. Mr. Pansino is a 2005 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, a 2010 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 2012 graduate of the University at Buffalo.

A reception was held at McClelland Pavilion in North Strabane Township Park.

The couple are living in Singapore, where Mr. Pansino will be attending Nanyang Technological University as a Ph.D. student of volcanology.
