Concert to benefit Alzheimer’s walk

Erica Karin, a country/pop singer/songwriter from Avella, will hold a concert to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cecil Township Park on Millers Run Road.
Karin’s first musical influence was her Dad, a local drummer in a classic rock band. She inherited her love for country music from her grandfather.
Throughout high school, she participated in several fine arts competitions and won several awards and scholarships for her songwriting and solo presentations.
Her musical diversity is shown through her solo endeavors and two separate ensembles. She sings and plays guitar, ukulele and even a little banjo in a group from her home church. She also a member of an acoustic group called We Still Have Tuesdays, which leads worship at a local Bible study for women. Her debut solo album is inspired by personal experiences.
