Churches offer Blue Christmas services

Recognizing that not everyone feels cheery at Christmas, two Presbyterian churches in Washington County are planning special Blue Christmas worship services.
The gentle services are for those who have suffered the death of a loved one or experienced similar distressing situations, such as a divorce, separation, job loss or illness. For these people, parties and joviality can be painful at Christmas.
Services will be held as follows:
• Faith United Presbyterian Church, 900 E. Beau St., Washington, 7 p.m. Sunday.
• Robinson Presbyterian Church, 219 Robinson Church Road, Bulger, 7 p.m. Wednesday.
