Extension to hold gardening seminar

Penn State Extension’s 20th annual gardening seminar will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 7 at Trinity Middle School.

Denise Schreiber, known as “Mrs. Know-It-All,” will speak about “The Future of Horticulture.” The workshops include: Let the Roses Do the Work; Urban Myths and Legends of the Garden; How to Harvest and Preserve You’re Herbs; Make and Take Floral Arrangement; Crop Rotation in the Home Vegetable Garden; Cooking Class; Habitat Gardening; and Four Season Gardening.

Soil test kits and other garden items will be available for sale. The seminar is organized by the Washington County Master Gardeners of Penn State Extension. Cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
