Frye – 100 years
Helen Barnhart Frye of Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, celebrated her 100th birthday with a party Saturday.
Mrs. Frye was born February 2, 1915, in Richhill Township, the youngest of Herbert W. and Ada Murphy Barnhart’s six daughters.
She was married to Harold Frye for 71 years.
Mrs. Frye has three sons, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She played the piano for 50 years at Holbrook Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.
When asked what she attributes to her longevity, she said, “No bad drugs.”
