CAS to offer free computer classes

Community Action Southwest is offering free classes at its Computer Learning Center in Washington for lower-income adults interested in enhancing their skills for employment or educational opportunities.

Classes include basic computer skills, Internet skills, email skills, keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

All of the classes are taught by volunteers once a week for four to six weeks, depending on the topic, and are held between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Three of the classes have been scheduled for next month. They are:

• Basic computer skills, 1 to 3:30 p.m., beginning March 9. The class consists of four sessions.

• Microsoft Word, 9:15 to 12:15 a.m., beginning March 12. The class consists of four sessions.

• Microsoft Excel, 10 a.m. to noon, beginning March 17. The class consists of six sessions.
