Peters Township Public Library and the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce will welcome members of SCORE for a free introductory workshop, “Simple Steps for Starting Your Own Business,” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 3 at the library.

SCORE is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The nonprofit association is staffed with active and retired businessmen and women who are dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals.

The workshop will focus on the basics of testing your business idea and identifying the key factors that influence start-up success. It also will provide an overview of the skills and tools that are needed to start a business, including advantages of owning a business, business formation, marketing, cash flow and funding sources.
