Brandon Bartley, a 2014 graduate of Burgettstown Junior/Senior High School, has received at $2,000 scholarship from the Valspar Foundation. He was among 32 students who shared $64,000 in scholarship awards.

The Valspar Scholarship program recognizes scholastic and community achievements children of Valspar employees. The awards are based on academic performance, leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, career and educational goals and objectives, plus an outside appraisal.

Bartley is studying forensics at Robert Morris University.
