Shannon Brosek of Carnegie graduated from Ohio State University with a master of science in nursing. She is a 2011 graduate of Case Western Reserve University. Brosek is pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner and is employed at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. She is a 2007 graduate of Ringgold High School, and her parents are Gary Brosek of Finleyville and Mary Ellen McHugh of Canonsburg.
Dr. Joseph H. Dulaney of Waynesburg graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a doctor of osteopathic medicine. Dulaney earned his bachelor of science in life sciences and Spanish from Penn State University in 2011. He is continuing his medical training in internal medicine at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Fla. His parents are Mike and Helene Dulaney of Waynesburg.
Jordan Lyon, son of Tom and Renee Lyon of Washington, graduated from Penn State University, The Behrend College, Erie, where he majored in psychology with a specialization in military science. He also was named to the dean’s list. Lyon was in the Army ROTC and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He will be stationed at Fort Huacuaca in Arizona until his command as a military intelligence officer begins in December at the 28th Division, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion in Johnstown. Lyon is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School.
Robert Mele was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College, where he is majoring in accounting. Mele is a member of the football team. He is a 2012 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, and his parents are Bob and Lorie Mele of Houston.
Zachary John Paul, son of Randall Paul of Bayard, Neb., and Susan Paul of Waynesburg received a doctor of medicine from Loma Linda University at the medical school campus in California. Paul completed his undergraduate degrees at Southern Adventist University,
earning a bachelor of science in biochemistry and bachelor of arts in biology. He also earned a master’s degree in biology from
Purdue University. He also completed research in a NASA lab. Paul will continue his residency training in pathology at Loma Linda.
Dr. Craig Evan Rumbaugh II graduated from Ross University School of Medicine, Miami, Fla., with a doctorate in medicine. He accepted an anesthesiology residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital, Albuquerque. Rumbaugh is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College with a bachelor of arts in chemistry, French and Spanish, and a 2006 graduate of Trinity High School. His parents are Craig and Linda Rumbaugh of Washington.
Shane Michael Rumbaugh graduated cum laude from William and Mary Law School, Williamsburg, Va., with a Juris Doctor. He received the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property Law, the Lewis B. Puller Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic Award for Excellence, and placed first in ABA Labor and Employment Regionals Trial 2014 and 2015. He also was inducted into the Order of Barristers-National Honor Society. Rumbaugh accepted a position as an associate attorney for Cooley LLP Law Firm in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College with a bachelor of arts in economics and political science, and a 2008 graduate of Trinity High School. His parents are Craig and Linda Rumbaugh of Washington.
