DON to celebrate ADA anniversary

Disability Options Network (DON), a local nonprofit disability organization, will be holding a 25th anniversary celebration of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Friday at from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pavilion One in Palmer Park, Donora.
The event is sponsored by Blackburn’s Pharmacy and Casey Ball Supports Coordination, LLC.
ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the public.
Speakers include state Sen. Camera Bartolotta, Washington County Commissioner Diana Irey-Vaughan, Washington County Treasurer Francis King and Monongahela Mayor Bob Kepics.
