A spaghetti dinner to benefit David Yerkey, who is battling multiple myeloma, will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at Whispering Woods/Shady Lane Pizza, 1098 Grant St., Bulger. Yerkey, 47, was born and raised in the McDonald/Cecil area. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, Italian bread and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 through 12 and children 3 and younger are free. The event will include music by DJ Jammin Jodi, a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle and various tip boards for chances to win high-priced items.
