California Area School District will hold kindergarten registration Thursday and Friday at California Area Elementary School. To be eligible, children must reside in the school district and be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31. Registration packets are available in the school office. On the day of registration, the child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and present photo identification, the child’s birth certificate, the child’s immunization record and three proofs of residency. Times for registering are based on the first letter of the child’s last name. They are

• A through F – 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday;

• G through M – 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday;

• N through S – 9 to 11 a.m. Friday;

• T through Z – 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Canon-McMillan School District will hold online kindergarten registration today through March 31. Contact the child’s school to request a secure ID code to access the registration site. Those who do not have a computer are asked to contact the child’s school for assistance. Kindergarten screenings will be held May 19.

Washington Park Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration Friday. To be eligible, children must turn 5 years old before June 1. To schedule an appointment, call Tanya Davis at 724-223-5056 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The following must be brought to the appointment: child’s birth certificate, immunization records, Social Security card and three proofs of residency.
