Charleroi Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. March 16 at Riverside Place, Chamber Plaza, Charleroi. Terry Necciai will discuss “The Emerald Irish in a Predominantly Orange Commonwealth” by tracing the Valley’s Irish Catholic and Irish Protestant institutions, and contrast the Scotch-Irish and Irish Catholic settlements in the area. Charleroi’s 125th birthday also will be celebrated at the meeting, and refreshments will be served.

Auxiliary Vendor Showcase will begin at 9 a.m. March 24 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. The evet is sponsored by the auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc.
