A spring chicken-and-biscuit dinner sponsored by Ladies of the Elks Lodge 776 will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Elks, 138 E. Maiden St., Washington. Donation is $7, and tickets will be available at the door.

National Pike Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Woodlands Clubhouse. Deborah Davis, former Pennyslvania state regent, will discuss “Madonna of the Trail.” Refreshments will be served. For more details, call Barb Lamay at 724-228-2193.

Amwell Township Historical Society will have its first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. Monday in the Amwell Township Community Building. Josh Scully will present a program on the French and Indian War. Annual dues are now being accepted.

Old Trails Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at King’s Family Restaurant, Bentleyville. The speaker will be Denise Briggs from Read With Me Railway – Imagination Library. There will be no Students of the Month in March. Applications for BPW membership are available at the meeting.

The Washington Corps of the Salvation Army, 60 E. Maiden St., will hold its monthly rummage sale Tuesday. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the bag sale begins at noon.

AFSCME Retired Chapter 13 subchapter 8402 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Frank Sarris Public Library, 35 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg. Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month except in January and February. All state retired employees are welcome.

The Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon meeting Tuesday at the Charleroi Elks Club, 301 Fallowfield Ave. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. and the program will conclude at 1 p.m. Craig Pritts of JRG Advisors, which ChamberChoice, will present a program. The Chamber Pot of Gold will be worth $300. Reservations are required. Cost cost is $16 for members and $18 for non-members. Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation is celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday at this month’s homeschool outdoor classroom. The program will take place Thursday, at Mingo Creek County Park with two sessions available: Session I will begin at 10 a.m. and Session II will begin at 1 p.m. Inspired by “The Lorax”, earth-friendly activities will be held including making a “Lorax” pot and plant a seed to take home. The program is designed for homeschooled children ages 5 through 11. Registration is required and can be made by calling the Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation office at 724-228-6867. There is a $1 fee.

Prime Time Adult Care, a nonprofit organization offering medical supervision and physical and mental stimulation of the frail elderly or those with Alzheimer’s disease, will hold a spring craft fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park. There will be 58 crafters offering items such as dried and silk florals, ceramics, embroidery, clothing, jewelry and more.
