Jameson’s Army to host heart gala

Jameson’s Army will host its fourth annual Green Heart Gala from 6 to 11 p.m. April 24 at the LeMont Restaurant in Pittsburgh.
John Hoover, a volunteer at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, will be honored with the annual Green Heart Award.
Last year’s gala attracted about 400 guests and raised more than $40,000 for Jameson’s Army. Proceeds help support children and family members directly impacted by the effects of congenital heart disease.
Danielle McKain of Cecil, founder/president of Jameson’s Army, said money has been used to deliver hospital care packages to young patients and provide “cough pillow” that comfort children after their surgery.
