Golf outing to benefit MDA

The fifth annual Jaime Shemasek Stride and Ride Golf Outing to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be held Aug. 9 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Farmington.
The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Cost is $400 for a team of four golfers and includes 18 holes of golf on the Links course, golf cart rental, use of the putting green and practice range, continental breakfast, lunch buffet, multiple tee contests, prizes and gifts.
The outing is being held in memory of Jonathan (JJ) Talpas, who died March 9, 2013. He was 27.
